The Anatomy of a Plank

This quick tutorial about proper plank form features my dear friend and client Dr. Annie Fenn, MD. She is a brain health advocate and currently writing a book on eating for Brain Health.

Annie recently entered a Plank-a-Day Challenge, and wanted to ensure that her form was top notch. She graciously offered to be the model in this tutorial of the ‘Anatomy of a Plank’ as she thought others would benefit as well.

Alongside eating for brain health, another very important component of brain health is strength and cardiovascular training. Planks are a really great way of getting quick fitness in throughout the day, IF done correctly! If not, then it is sure to only further any existing poor alignment or movement patterns.

I highly recommend following Annie socially- @brainhealthkitchen and also check out her yummy recipes on her website. Her approach to eating for brain health is laid-back, simple, and so delicious you won’t even know it’s good for you!
