June is a New Chapter

Happy Friday!

I am looking for some consistency...how about ya'll?!

It can start with weather. I am laughing because all of us living in Jackson know that Summer truly does not begin until it is supposed to, on the solstice- on Sunday!

I have always looked at June as a calendar start for some reason. It is my time to get organized for the inevitably busy Summer ahead.

So I would like you to consider getting back into the practice of planning your week out in advance. I shot a video a few months ago and put in our FB group regarding my Dot Journaling Practice. This year has been a good "failure experiment" with my dot journal. I have hardly used the thing since February, and I can tell my consistency has suffered. I still feel healthy and happy, relative to the state of our world, but it takes me much more effort to get myself organized to cook, exercise, write, read, anything. Because I am someone who must write things down.

I hate to generalize, but after working with clients for almost 20 years now, I notice those who write their short term daily goals down are also much more successful at achieving them. As one of us in the Fisher Fitness community says, "I write my life in pencil so I never have to commit."

I have been thinking about that statement in a broader sense this past week. This year so far ha been a giant experiment, really. We all have been faced with our true beliefs and behaviors on so much- our identity, our health, our social lives, our family lives, our financial "needs", our political stances, our racial biases, and on and on....

What have we subconsciously, and/or consciously decided to "write in pencil" so we don't really have to face these questions, or more importantly....(gasp!) CHANGE!

(Answer that for yourself now.) Just pick the first one that comes to mind. Choose wisely- you are now writing this in
"pen"- meaning you MUST follow through!

Now- what (1) SMALL action can you take to move toward positive change in that area of your life?

Note the word SMALL. Consistency is king to achieving big goals.

Let me hear from ya!!

What are you ready to face on the other side of this Solstice?
